Description
Roti is a simple and essential Indian bread made from whole wheat flour (atta). It is unleavened and usually cooked on a tawa (griddle). The dough is made by mixing flour with water and a pinch of salt, then rolled into thin, round discs and cooked on both sides until puffed and lightly browned. Rotis are a common accompaniment to various curries, dals, and vegetables.
